About Hearing Loss Cornwall

Hearing Loss Cornwall is a unique Cornish charity set up in 1931to benefit the Deaf community of the Duchy. Our users are individuals and organisations and our reach extends across the Duchy and The Isles of Scilly. We aim to assist anyone who is affected by any degree of hearing loss to take control of their lives and break down barriers. Hearing Loss Cornwall assists people to acknowledge their hearing loss and helps them to find the way forward.

Through our relationship with medical practitioners, Healthwatch Cornwall, Cornwall Council, various statutory and voluntary organisations, as well as the commercial and business world, we act as a vital conduit for the deaf and Deaf community.

Hearing Loss Cornwall provides communication support, awareness raising, training and consultancy, information advice and assistance, partnership working and help with assistive technology, as well as campaigning. The charity also acts as an umbrella for various Deaf or Hard of Hearing clubs and community groups providing support and advice.

We are also here to help the family and friends of those living with hearing loss, and if you have a question we will try hard to find the answer!
